Ozone- Dragonstei Din Tei [numa numa], Loituma 'ieva's polka' , basshunter 'Boten Anna' , crazy foreign songs that make my feet tap,
It's upbeat, it makes me happy, and the fact that a 3yr old could have written the lyrics isn't worrying me. ^_^

Numa numa ai ay!

It will eventually drive every thought out of my head, except for my manuscript, yes?
... no? We'll have to see. I'll at least get exercise from all the bouncing.
Well, it's an experiment, I'll have to let you know how it goes.

Actually, it's driving out the misery. I really am going to do some writing now. 'boopidity boop boop boopidity boop boop.. "

look them up on youtube and see what you think.

If you don't speak Spanish, you might try Cafe Tacuba, a Mexican rock band that's absolutely amazing. The newest album, Sino, and Re, from a few years ago, are absolutely amazing.

I listen to Juanes (Columbian) and Dima Bilan (Russian pop artist...somewhat of their equivalent of Justin Timberlake?) and Ceu (accent over the e, too lazy to make it in ms word) who is a Brazilian artist. I listen to MC Solaar if I want french rap and Daddy Yankee if I feel like some reggaethon.

That's a nice variety you have there. Surprisingly I know all of them. :)

Can't understand a word of French but, oh, that voice . . . that . . . voice . . .

You can buy her songs from iTunes. I recommend "Élizabeth sérénade" and "J'ai crié ton nom" for starters.

Utterly awesome album, made by two English musicians. They went on a trip around the world with a laptop, sampling musicians as they went. Some more famous, English speaking people like Robbie Williams and Michael Stipe (sp?), but mostly foreign language stuff.
This is one of my favourite albums ever.

I make no apologies for liking Dragostea Din Tei. It's great!

One of my Euro-favorites from the Eighties was Vamos à la Playa, by Righeira. Still love it.

I also dig Zeca Baleiro, King Sunny Adé, Angélique Kidjo, and Manu Chao (though I have two of his albums and they're not much different).

Ain't music grand?
