There is a writing contest going on in the music and songwriting forum. THIS IS NOT A CONTEST WHERE YOU WRITE A SONG.

This is funny becuase this morning I was thinking of burning a cd of my various theme songs that have gotten me through this rough time in my life. Music is the best.

Kidding, of course - I'd love to see lots of entries as well. I enjoyed reading the entries in the last contest in the MCL forum; it's so interesting to see the different things people do with a theme. Get writing!

... and a great idea III! I can think of lots of songs that have influenced me, but changed my life? Hmmmm, need to get thinking on this one. I'm sure there is at least one.

I'm so glad other folks are picking up on the excitement. I'm lucky that I've been getting to read the entries as they come in. This is going to be a very special event - I hate to even call it a contest; it's almost like a Woodstock of Musical Hearts.

And btw, the stories can be fictional or autobiographical, so if you're struggling, consider writing a fictional story about a song changing somebody's life.
