How Long do Forums Stay Open After Nov.30?

This is my first time doing NaNoWriMo.
How long do the Forums stay open after November 30th?

I think it will ber useful to have forums where people can discuss what they learned, what they will do differently next year, what worked, what didn't, etc.

Are the forums open all year, or are they closed after a certain date?

The nanowrimo.org forums close down after a while. This one stayed open all of last year, but the year before that, there was a point where it was closed.

In the past, they've pretty much always shut down the following September 1st (if I recall correctly) to have the site overhauled and the forums put into archive, and then reopened again October 1st. This year, they're saying that if they don't get enough donations, the forums will shut down sooner to save on bandwidth costs.

It depends upon the financial support from NaNo'ers. Look at the bar chart on the NaNo home screen...hold your cursor over each. Depending upon the amount of the donations, it could stay open until Sept 30 next year. (They seem to shut the forums down during Oct).
