December Blog Chain

In a moment of weakness I agreed to host the December blog chain. I think we should start on December 1, so we will be finished before the real craziness of Christmas starts (you know.. before I completely implode under the stress of buying just the right gift and trying to put a kick-ass holiday meal on the table...

).

So - here is the official sign up. I will set up the order and post the coding when we get closer to starting.

Checked out your instructions and I'm going cross-eyed.

I'm pretty useless when it comes to figuring out this kind of thing so I'll pass this round and see if I can't join in next time. Just made me a blogging plan that I think I can stick to so I'll probably have my hands full anyway.

This sounds like fun. I'm kind of interested. How many blogs did you have chained last time? I don't think I would do this and the carnival. I'll have to choose which one to do.

Well, you only have to link to the blog that comes before you in the chain. Reading each person's entry is fun and interesting which is why so many of us like to do the chains.

Also, I'm hosting the carnival which means I have to make sure I do the coding right for all the links and so on and I'm going to do the blogchain and I haven't hardly begun my flash for the carnival yet.

If I can do it in my addlepated state, I bet you can too.

At least think about it. Okay?

MRasey - I'm so glad you decided to join us!! It looks like December will be a big chain!

For anyone else who is "on the fence" and worried about the rules... I have written out the basics and kept it REALLY simple.

These are the only "rules" you need to worry about.

Sign up
Wait for the person before you to PM you.
Go read their post, and branch off of it in your posting. Just take one (big or small) aspect of their post and morph it into something you want to write about.
Take the code that I am going to compile, and paste it into your post at the end (will need to do this in HTML view.. but that is super super simple!!)
PM the next person in line to let them know you are finished, and post a link to your finished post on the Blog Chain thread here at AW.
When everyone is finished, comment.. comment... comment.
At the very very end, I will compile updated code, and everyone can go in and edit their original posts. Just take out the original code, and replace with the updated code I post.

Just jump in! Nothing to worry about. We don't bite... much.

OK Everyone, Here is the code for the December Blog Chain! Please look it over and make sure that I have chosen the right blog for you and that your entry is spelled correctly.

When you post to your blog, please put this code in the post (needs to be done on the CODE tab while you are writing).

I am going to kick off the first post of the blog. I will blog sometime this weekend (probably on Sunday). Because a few of our members are also participating in the Blog Fiction Carnival (which has a deadline of Dec. 5), I'm trying to push our blog chain back a few days. I also tried to put anyone that I KNEW was participating in the Carnival at the end of our chain.

Don't forget to PM the next person when you have completed your post! Also - please post here when you are finished and give us the perma-link to your post. (If anyone doesn't know what a perma-link is.. PLEASE ask or PM me and I'll explain it). Don't forget to visit all of our participants and comment on their posts.
