I just finished an extensive rewrite of a novel Friday morning, and the author went to a two-day conference later that day.
She participated in a manuscript review (we submitted the synopsis, query, and first 20 pages weeks ago) by an agent with Regal and received very favorable feedback from a literary critic.
The agent gave rave reviews and asked for a full manuscript submission.
I was simply hoping for good feedback regarding anything that may need tweaked (which we also got), but the request for the full manuscript surprised me.
In your experience, is this common? Just curious...
