I know I shouldn't be so excited about this, but I just sent my husband off on a year-long internship in Utah. Okay, sure, yeah, I'll miss him, whatever. But from here on, I have no obligations beyond going to work 8 hours a day and throwing kibble into the cats' bowls. Other than that, I'm free to spend every evening writing, editing, and querying. Woohoo! It's like my own writer's retreat.
