Nice piece, showing a lot of empathy. In the comments someone mentioned reading Miss Snark (who had a rather different tone :) But the funny thing is, I recall that Janet Reid was one of the candidates in the periodic "guess-Miss Snark's identity"game. Sure seems unlikely, after reading this!

Put me in the camp of those who firmly believe that Janet Reid IS Miss Snark. MS was a different tone because it was anonymous, which was the point. But the good intentions behind MS are still present. Janet Reid isn't just an awesome agent, she's a rock star of a human being as well.
