He was the product of a simpler, arguably less enlightened age, but how will history remember Pepe Le Pew?

Does Pepe still get shown on kid's channels? I don't think I've seen him on TV since I was a kid many years ago.

He has issues and that poor cat needs to get an injunctive order against him. Any judge would issue it...Pepe is definitely a stalker who has issues.

Don Juan-ism case study. He had issues, the poor, misguided French bastard.

The societal norms have changed so drastically in such a short span of time. It's odd that we can watch tv and movie clips, and remember growing up in an entirely different environment. For that matter, it's one of the reasons I got such a kick out of Asimov's books.

We're in a brave new world.

I really wanted to vote for Orlando cuz that would be HOT, but I think he just gets a bad rap from his smell.

Poor stinky skunk.

I have a problem with answer 3, Unhealthy obsession with females and disregard for personal boundaries.

Is there such a thing an an unhealthy obsession when it comes to females?

When a simple white stripe of paint on her back can blind you to the fact that she's a different species because you're so horny, that might be your first clue that you have an unhealthy obsession.

You mean, like hair dye and Max Factor makeup? Yeah, that's so unhealthy :P

Hmmm, that's pretty insightful for a dolled-up turkey.

Sorry, but I don't blame him at all. He has needs. He falls in love easily. I can relate.

If I blame anyone, its the stupid cartoonists for drawing them so similar.

This time I voted for Orland Bloom.

My reason is simple. Pepe, although amorous, is a funny cartoon character and I can totally see Orlando Bloom making those facial expressions. It is about time he stood up and did some slapstick type comedy.

AND....I can totally see him nekkid and covered in black body paint...

I'm about to release a new fragrance: Pepe™ by M. A. Estro.

The marketing slogan? "Pew, one sniff and you're MINE."

Oh, is this like the celebrity ambergris thread? My favorite is still, Hold my Hair, Biatch - the new signature fragrance by Britney Spears

You're one of those one-issue voters I've heard tell of over in the Politics forum!

Does she have any left to hold... or does she expect someone to hold her wig for her?

He was just a stupid romantic. Romantics aren't stupid. But not recognizing your own species? That's kinda dumb, no? I always wanted to hit him...but not with anything really heavy.

Oooh! Pepe is the reason why I took 3 years of French. Chercher l'amour. And my black cat has just the barest suggestion of a white stripe (under his chin, not on his back). I actually like the smell of skunk, if it is not too close or ripe. Reminds me of ma farm days.

I've seen Pepe around lately, but I haven't seen Speedy Gonzales.

How could you not fall in love with love? How could you not admire someone with such an optimistic outlook and such HIGH self worth. "She loves me, no?"
And as Jessica rabbit said, " I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way."
If Pepe were human, I'd have him put away.

*I like skunk too - makes my kids CRAZY. I open windows in the car when I get the faintest whiff.. reminds me of childhood paper routes. Also, we lived in England for 5 years and were skunkless. It's nutty what you miss.

I vote stalker. I mean, look at the cat. have you ever tried to hold a cat close to you that did NOT want to be held? Did your clothing and skin survive? Did you have enough band-aids in the house afterwards?

And how do we know whether Pepe's odor issues were not breath related? After all, he is French.

I used to feel sooooo sorry for that cat, when I was a kid, but as I got older I began to identify more and more with Pepe's cause.
