Can't Post My writing

I can't even get onto the NaNo site at the moment. I just figured it was swamped with this being the first day.

pppsssttt...Nano has always been a hit or miss website. Patience...

I was able to get in this morning to post my word count and excerpt. It was buried under Edit Profile -> Author Info, though. It took me a few minutes to find it.

I figured it out too. I posted my excerpt around 1AM Eastern Saving time (11 hours ago), and I can get to the nano site now.

Now I have a big incentive to write more, to find some better passage to put in my excerpt. Maybe I'll change the excerpt once or more per week, even include the date the excerpt was written so people will know it's "recent." Does anyone else do that?

I'll only read if it's one of my buddies, mostly.

"Unable to connect to web server" message on my screen when I tried to post. I suppose is just that the site is overloaded...sort of like my nerves after too much coffee.

There's an announcement on the main screen, they took down the work progress counter for the first couple of days. Until then, as a previous poster stated, you have to manually put it in under the Author Info.

I think they said they'll have it up shortly.

I've found the site is less busy in the early morning. Couldn't get on this afternoon at all, or just now.

I tried earlier and couldn't get the site to load. I think they're just swamped.

That's weird. I could log on to NaNo all day long and, even though the page was slow, it always loaded correctly.

If you can post here, it's most likely the Nano site. It did time out once last night, but amazingly it's been mostly operational. If it isn't working, I suggest just trying again in an hour or so.
