Anyone ever find the flight simulator easter egg in Excel? Not sure if it's just in the older versions, but it was way cool.

In a new Excel 97 workbook:

1. On a blank worksheet press F5.
2. In the "Go To" windows enter "X97:L97" (if this doesn't work, try "r97c12:r97c24")
3. Press enter.
4. Press the TAB key.
5. Hold down Control + Shift.
6. Click the chart wizard tool-bar icon.

Presto ! You are in Flight Simulator . Use mouse to navigate and mouse buttons for speed control . Control+Shift+Escape ends this and takes you back to Excel .

This doesn't seem to work in Excel 2000

Using Excel 2000
Car racing game:

Boot Excel 2000

Under file menu, do 'Save as Web Page'.

Say 'Publish Sheet' and 'Add Interactivity'

Save to some htm page on your drive.

Load the htm page with IE. You should have Excel in the middle of the page.

Scroll to row 2000, column WC. Select row 2000, and tab so that WC is the active column.

Hold down Shift+Crtl+Alt and click the Office logo in the upper-left.

If you have DirectX, you will be playing what looks like spy hunter. Use the arrow keys to drive, space to fire, O to drop oil slicks, and when it gets dark, use H for your headlights.

(Note: I haven't been able to get this one to work).

Gawd, Excel is the reason for my headache yesterday. Trying to get IT and Access to have relations.

You should try the flight simulator e.egg. in Google Earth. Excellent!

p.s. I prefer iWork 08/Numbers.

You can program Excel to play tic-tac-toe with you, but I usually got bored and wandered off before I finished that assignment.

He got bored and wandered off to spell 8008135 on his calculator.

Meanwhile, the rest of us discovered girls. :D

While Peedee was discovering girls, I was busy getting drunk with women and writing my fantasy novels.

Peedee, check your skirt: Your jealousy slip is showing.
