I asked the following questions in another thread and no one answered a single one correctly. It's amazing that what we think is common knowledge can be so wrong.

#1-What is the largest living thing?

#2-What is the tallest mountain on Earth?

#3-Who is America named after?

#4-Who invented the telephone?

#5-What is the capital of Thailand?

2 hour full body massage to whoever gets them all correct!;)

I thought that was debunked? *goes to research*

Oh. Huh. And here I thought the record was still technically the 1500 kilometer fungus field. I haven't read about this stuff recently.

I also got #3 and #3 right, you know!

Last I heard about the giant mushroom in Oregon (this was years ago) scientists were still contesting if it really was all the honey mushroom, or if it was multiple mushrooms and other fungi which were forming a sort of mega-organism which took on the dominate characteristics of the honey mushroom.

It's so much cooler that it's all one mushroom, though. It'd be cooler if it was ABOVE ground.

They confirmed that it is actually one single organism. It would be cooler it it was above ground though. I'd want to run all over it and smash it and squish it between my toes.

Maybe these questions will be easier to answer. Personally I have no clue what the answers are but I'm very curious...

#1 what is the deal with AW and chocolate pants?

#2 why are there so many Hello Kitty avatars?

#3 what is the deal with "flouncing?"

#4 why must Orlando Bloom be connected to everything?

Thanks Salem! This one is much easier.
Maybe these questions will be easier to answer. Personally I have no clue what the answers are but I'm very curious...

#1 what is the deal with AW and chocolate pants? Ray has choclate pants, and we are obsessed with them.

#2 why are there so many Hello Kitty avatars? They belong to those still coping with the warm and fuzzy feelings associated with The Great Hello Kitty Edpidemic of 2007.

#3 what is the deal with "flouncing?" Some people make grand exit speeches (see template). Others "flounce" for fun and/or to be obnoxious, which is inherently fun.
#4 why must Orlando Bloom be connected to everything? Because he is Orlando Bloom (and he has contributed greatly to the status of eggplants in the global community).
There. What did I win? A kitteh?

I can solve all of the above with one answer: Scarlett Peaches.

It's all her fault.

I asked the following questions in another thread and no one answered a single one correctly. It's amazing that what we think is common knowledge can be so wrong.

#1-What is the largest living thing? Yup, the fungi is still recorded as the largest

#2-What is the tallest mountain on Earth? Above sea is Mt. Everest, from base to top (including undersea) it is Mauna Kea (sp?)

#3-Who is America named after? Amerigo Vesspuci -- mapmaker to Columbus

#3-Who invented the telephone? A. G. Bell

#4-What is the capital of Thailand? Bangkok! (HaiYahh!)

2 hour full body massage to whoever gets them all correct!;)

Trivia is my thang, baby!!! I owned a bar -- come on! Useless knowledge is my forte.

ETA: I just googled the phone thing -- You are shooting for the German, no? Perhaps the Frenchman? Ahhh, cheeky! Bell has the patent, though and higher quality results.

Thailand? Are you looking for the former capital? Hmmm?

Ahh, horn hats for omme-rike. One theory, I guess.

Foinah got the first 2 right.

3,4 and 5 are still wrong.

America is not named after Vespucci, A.G. Bell did not invent the telephone and Bangkok is not the capital of Thailand.

Keep trying!

I googled and got the answers you are probably looking for...I added an ETA: to my post above with vague references to the answers.

quiet voice...I thought that a stand of quaking aspen were the largest organism on earth (they are genetically identical and share a single root system). I looked it up (cause you gave me doubt) and who is correct depends on how you define "largest".

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Largest_organism

Also, America (only South America in the beginning) was named for Amerigo Vespucci BUT the name was first applied by a map maker in 1507 (Martin Waldseemueller).

Meucci?? invented the telephone.

Taipai is the capital of Thailand, I think.

The other two, I don't know without cheating.

Is that last one a trick question and you are really asking about their capital, as in money?

Their currency is called baht.
