Oh heck, why not! Just because I've got the novel and blogging thingys, as well as the flash fiction carnival, I ought to be able to do this as well.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee! ! !

As much as I want to join this one, I am suddenly swamped with opportunities regarding book reviews and query ideas. I'm gonna have to sit this one out.

I'll be reading what y'all write, though. :D

Can I ask...what is a blogchain?

A blogchain is an event in which a bunch of bloggers organize themselves into a group that creates a series of related blogposts. The first person in the chain reads the last entry from the previous chain, finds an element/topic in that post that they wish to expound upon in a brand new freshly typed post of their own, they post their new essay and then the next person in the chain reads it and finds something in it that they wish to expound upon and so on and so on and so on.....

But probably someone else can explain it better than I.

Awesome. Thanks. Sounds interesting. I think I'm going to have to be an observer first before I jump in the ring, though, just to be safe!

DD, if you look at Blogchain #11 you'll get a good idea. That way you won't have to sit out #12. I'd be too superstitious to begin with blogchain #13...

Mwah ha ha ha ha ha!

Going to sleep at night means that everyone else does the work. I'll keep it open a few more days, so that the people who check in just once a week don't miss out.

Donna Duck, I can put you near the bottom of the list if you want, so that you get to observe a bunch before having to do anything. Would that be a happy solution?

I think I can do that. Go ahead and add my name but yeah, towards the bottom. I just don't get the coding stuff.

So do we have a date for this to start? Once it starts going, does the last person "tag" the next person? Do we have a set amount of time to do our entry?

I'll put up a list (with the code so you can simply cut it and paste into your blog) on 1 November. We go through in order of the list. When someone finishes, they PM the next person and let us know (here) what the permanent link for their post is. There's no set timeframe, but sooner is better (and if you think you might take more than a couple of days, let me know and I'll rearrange the schedule).

You simply cut it from my post here and paste it in your blog. But I haven't done the post yet (I've been working 12 hour days all this week - I will get time tomorrow, promise), so please stop worrying. It worries me when people worry :).

I don't know if I can create one of those boxes that tell the AW Board not to read the html, but I'll try. Tomorrow.

This is so you can check that I've got everyone there and that you're happy with the way I've described you and that I've linked to the right blog (Talia, I'm especially unsure about yours, since it's changed so much from last time I was in a blogchain with you). While you check that, I'll try to find out how to post the same list in code, so you can just copy that code and paste it in an entry on your blog. I thought I knew how, but it turns out that was for another program entirely.

We have space for a few more people if you're still thinking about it. You'd better be quick, though!

Can I have all answers by 2 November. Weather means I have to go offline from time to time and computer life goes into slow motion, but Virginia Lee - you can start whenever you want ie we don't have to wait for this list to look perfect before we begin. Any newcomers will go on the end.

And next time I volunteer? Remind me to check my diary first - I should have chosen a less busy time. I have 2 new courses starting this week...

Looking good! I'll be sure to keep checking in to Life in the Middle to know when it's time for me to go!
