I jokingly told one of my beta-readers, who has finished the first draft of Third Strike, that I expected an essay out of him in response. So... he did. A 700 word essay on my protagonist.
And what makes it so cool, aside from being a really good essay, is that it shows that he understands exactly what my hero is all about. And that means I did my job as a writer. I'm all warm and fuzzy.
