Looking for a writer who uses anniversaries as hooks

Barry Michaels

I'm looking for published writers who have used anniversaries of events as hooks on which to hang articles & essays, thus making them more timely, interesting, and salable. (For example, a biographical article on the Xth anniversary of the subject's birth/death; on an event, or some particular aspect of the event, on the Xth anniversary of its occurence.)

Feel free to contact me via e-mail at barrymichaels (at) aol (dot) com.

Barry, are you looking for advice, or are you looking to purchase articles or stories? Please clarify, so we can help you find what you're looking for.

looking for writer...

Okay, sorry if wasn't clear enough what I'm looking for. I'm preparing an article for a prominent journal for writers on this idea. I'm looking for another published writer (besides me) who has successfully used this method of developing ideas for articles.

You might want to have a browse through the Freelance forum, Barry, I think we have several threads on using the magazine's publishing calendar to place articles in a timely manner. You might find something useful there.
