As some of you know, my four month old son is having brain surgery next Friday. I'd appreciate it if you could help me pass his story along in hopes of not only raising enough money to pay for his helmet but also raising awareness of this condition.

Please say a prayer, rub a Buddha belly, wave a chicken or whatever you feel best doing to pass along your positive energy. I could use it right about now.

Here is his site: www.funnylookinghead.com

Forgive the poor writing.

It sounds like he'll be in very good hands, and he has a wonderful Momma looking out for his best interests. I know it'll be a long week, but hang in there.:Hug2:

Good for you, Elisa, for never giving up on finding an answer for Daniel!

I can't believe nobody noticed that his fontanels are closed.

Anyway, you're in good hands at Children's Hospital and I sent a little something to help.

All the best!

Eldragon! How Ive missed you and everyone else! Can you believe my pediatricican? He wasn't the only one either, the Nurse Practioner and another doctor in his office missed it too.

I was thinking of painting a dragon on his helmet once he gets it. Now I definitely will. I should rent out ad space on his head.LOL.

The dragon sounds perfect for him. Good luck to your little fighter.

Glad to hear the problem was diagnosed. My thoughts will be with you and the little tyke. Only junior superheroes wear helmets like that, you know, and that's no exaggeration. Nor is it fiction.

Elisa, your story reminds me of my own internet search for my daughter's condition...none of the pediatricians had any answers but I eventually found the info I needed online, and was finally able to convince a specialist to see her. (She was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis at age 5). I'm so glad for his sake that you didn't stop looking until you had an answer. Prayers being sent for a successful surgery--hang in there, mom!

what I mean is, being right did not make me happy. The doctor was supposed to tell me I was crazy and nothing is wrong with my son, but he didn't do that. sigh. That is NOT the way I wrote it.

Praying for you and your son. I'm so glad that you did your own investigating instead of just taking the first doctor's advice. All the best to you guys; give Daniel a big hug for me!
