I'm jealous. But, still...congrats!

ps: that was the first time I ever saw an ebay page. My first click on the site. Thank you for not making it a scary one!

Congrats on being bidding on!

If they're selling it, they probably didn't even crack open page 1.

ARCs are expensive to produce, and we give them away so people can read them.

I've alerted people to win this auction so we can give that book away again to someone who might actually read it.

So don't you guys go bidding on it.

First, that's very cool!

Second, thanks for reminding me that I needed to leave feedback for someone. I love ebay.

Been there. A bound galley of Collinsfort Village showed up on eBay about a month after the big library magazines would have reviewed it.

Talk about a kick in the pants AND a punch in the stomach at the same time.

I feel less squicky about things that aren't actually on an auction block.

For instance, if a used bookstore were to sell a copy that fell into their hands for a fixed price, 'twouldn't bother me one bit, and I wouldn't mind who nabbed it.

Oh, for instance...

Edit: Also, for any folks with review copies of my book looking to rid yourself of them, I would consider libraries and used bookstores an ideal destination, and personally want to encourage you all to pursue that instead of e-Bay.

I am sure I will.
I think the cover is beautiful!
I will post a long, drawn out, thoughtful thread, after I read it.
Let's see...it should be here in 4-6 days.
Read it in 2 maybe 3.
Let's just say you shall have your review in 2 weeks time. :)
By the way I am sorry I never said Congrats!

Jeez, Lucky Ducky. I've been busy ogling your book cover between the Discovery site and your avatar (until recently). This Ebay thing is wild. I guess I could haunt the used bookstores until Feb but I'm a patient man... sort of. Congrats!

All right... I won it (*cough* thanks Dad, for winning that *cough*).

Now I'm holding a very simple contest. Mostly I want to make sure my poor, lost baby winds up in the hands of someone who is likely to enjoy it.

Look for the contest in a different forum.
