I won 1st Place in the Adult Novel Category for the Muskoka Novel Marathon!

I just got back from Huntsville. I went to the wrap-up gathering for the Muskoka Novel Marathon. The marathon was a 2 or 3 day marathon in July. I wrote mine in the 2-day marathon. The manuscripts were submitted to 6 judges. Mine took 1st place in the adult category! I have one month to edit it and hand it back in...at which point it will be forwarded to 3 publishers for consideration.

The best part...no queries...no synopsis...I have been banging my head trying to write these. The marathon win means that I by-pass those steps. I just have to edit and submit and the marathon organizers submit it for me.

Oh...and I won a Muskoka (adirondack) chair!

Thanks much, all! I wasn't sure if this was real...I'm still pretty shocked. But when I woke up this morning, there was a muskoka chair in my family room...so it must have really happened?!
