I wish I could post the email I received today on the poetry chapbook I submitted. The person who accepted it sent a long email telling me, poem by poem, how much she enjoyed it. She was candid and admitted that poetry is not her thing...that she doesn't usually read a lot of it. Then she went on to say she got lost in the poetry I sent and had a great afternoon reading it. I received feedback on almost every poem. It was, I think, the most rewarding email I ever received. I will let you know about publication info later. (It's just an e-chapbook...nothing spectacular...I would not have even commented, because that in itself isn't much of an accomplishment...that I had a non-reader give me such praise...that's the accomplishment in my eyes.)

I beg you return to your regularly scheduled programming...

I think that's the definitive accomplishment - you touched someone with your writing. Way to go, Kev. Enjoy it.

That's about the best thing that could happen to a writer. Enjoy the warm fuzzy feeling.

Many congrats
To YOUUUUUUUUUU!

That's super, KTC. I'm waiting to hear about my collection of poems. She said she'd let me know in a week, but it's already two weeks.

1/2 of a real something

:D I was happy today that I had one agent call me and say nice things by e-mail and I didn't get divorced yet over my book. This is a very good day!

Lol, Jag. Congrats. It's good hearing nice things, isn't it. Good not getting divorced over writing too!

That ROCKS! Must be a really great feeling, to know you've touched someone with your writing. I hope to get that someday!

All the best, my friend!

Lovely. Every time you touch someone, that's an accomplishment right there.

*Pshaw* That is a fully-blown, totally awesome, perfectly real accomplishment. It is great to know that someone (who isn't worried about offending you and therefore maybe not getting that nice CD they wanted for their birthday) loves your work. Congratulations!
