Unfortunately this only applies to those of you who have recieved your rights back for your books. Thanks to another poster after 2 years of fighting to get one of my books taken off the "Available" status and being sold actively through Amazon.com my book is finally unavailable for sale.

I have been thouroughly ignored by PA in my attempts to close this chapter. It has been a 5 year battle from the beginning, two years since my rights have been returned, but at last it is over thanks to a fellow poster.

Books CAN be removed from Bowkers listings:
http://www.bowkerlink.com/correction.../LearnMore.asp

"Q. How do I delete a title?
A. You cannot delete a title using BowkerLink. We also do not generally delete information from our file. If the title is out-of-print, you may indicate that by updating the Status field in the record. If you wish to delete a title for some other reason, please e-mail us at [email protected] or [email protected] and advise us why you would like to delete a certain title."

The publisher is supposed to do it.

Thank you so much, Maria. At last, I can really move on.

Sara

They are not completely deleted due to Amazon's system, but at least they can no longer be purchased.
