Since this book was rescued from PA, it shows up in a lot of threads. Here is a place to consiladate them all.

Actually, this would be a good place to mention any book that was saved from PA and went on to be published by a real commercial trade publisher.

Why? What's wrong with keeping the discussion of Dandelion in with the particular thread where it was refered to?

The OP keeps bringing the threads back around to Dandelion and people are starting to say they feel like they're bombarded with unnecessary advertising.

See http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28410 .

It was nearly lost to PublishAmerica. Thanks to information on the original Never Ending Publish America Thread (NEPAT) on AW, I was alerted (and well enough informed) to caution the author before she signed the contract that she had in hand. Nearly two and a half years later, the book is nearing hardback publication by a legitimate small press. (Formal publication date is a week from today.) It would not be a particularly interesting matter except that the book is a literary, historical, and cultural gem.

Good idea. For one thing, there are the "Fairy Chronicles" books by J. H. Sweet (starting with "Marigold and the Feather of Hope") which were placed with a real publisher after the Publish America contract was cancelled. This course of events has been heralded as a success for PA, even though it is nothing of the sort.

Some people don't recognize the difference between 'because of' and 'in spite of'.
