Okay, I'll bring Pearl Jam, Yield and a 12-pack of Corona.

You've got to tell us how you're dressed.

That's cool, Dev - the party's started now! I'm dressed in my pink pj's and a cute little bow in my hair. :D What about you, or shouldn't I ask. I know it's something red. :)

I'm in my jammies already. White tank top with the lacey edge, and lightweight cotton bottoms. You'd probably like them. They're pale green with lemons and little white polka dots, and teensy little bows by the knees. Not devilish at all, but maybe a little tart.

I don't have bows in my hair, but I'll cop to a ponytail.

I'm in a white babydoll nightie, my hair is hanging down loose to my hips and I'm bringing brownies!

I'm already in my jammies too. They're just green scrub pants stolen from some hospital and a black tank top...I could live in scrub pants, they're the best!

I'm eating little Tootsie Rolls, so I'll bring those.

It's like a slumber party...who's bringing scary movies?! :D

I canít stick around for the night owl party, so Iíll just drop off the old movie When a Stranger Calls and The Uninvited. Let me know if you enjoyed them.

I'm bringing a date. I hope you don't mind.

I'm all sandy-eyed and full of ice cream.

But since I just finished Chapter 1 of an organic, plotless new WIP, I feel pretty good about sleeping now.

Also, seems like I brought the sausage to the slumber party. My bad.

Some people are chicken to write that way.

Hey kids.

It's only 11:20 here, so I've got hours left in me.

Shady Lane
07-23-2007, 07:22 AM
And I'm in jeans and a t-shirt. But I'm barefoot!

Magdalen
07-23-2007, 07:43 AM
In jeans, "denim blue, faded up to the sky" (thanks Cat) with holes in both knees and I've brought Labatts and salty pretzles. Suse invited me so I've got to go give her another rep point. And may I ask, is there a topic du jour?

Shady Lane
07-23-2007, 07:46 AM
Whenever I hear du jour, I think ice cream. But that's a la mode.

Why did the chicken's coop have only two doors?

If it was a four-door, it would have been a sedan?

Magdalen

Oh you are a clever owl.
How many writers does it take to change a lite bulb?

Shady Lane
07-23-2007, 08:04 AM
Four.

One to change the lightbulb, one to change it again, one to change it again, and one to change it again.

Magdalen
07-23-2007, 08:14 AM
Well, four is the correct number. But you haven't assigned them the correct tasks.

Magdalen
07-23-2007, 08:15 AM
This is a (bad) homemade joke. And it is not worth more than One more guess or five virtual minutes.

Magdalen

Ok, the suspense is killing me

I like my answer better. ;)

Magdalen

Yes it was funny. But if you keep changing your MS what will your editor have to do?

Shady Lane
07-23-2007, 08:25 AM
Send me a form rejection, looks like.

ETA: That was supposed to sound jokey, not bitter.

Devil Ledbetter

What this party needs is some music (http://fuelfriendsblog.com/listenup/Vedder%20Soundtracks/08%20State%20of%20Love%20and%20Trust.mp3).

;) Such technology is beyond the lowly dial-uppers. I get 7 secs. of some righteous screaming guitar and then it has to buffer again. But I do have some Dire Straits (cause that is where I'm at Baby) and I will be enjoying 14 mins and 20 secs of "Telegraph Road" and that's it for me. So try to be brilliant in that time frame, please.:D

I would die without Mark Knopfler!!!

Shady Lane
07-23-2007, 08:43 AM
Yo tambien.

ETA: That was in response to Dev's internet post...I have no idea who this Mark person is.

Magdalen
07-23-2007, 09:00 AM
Mark Knopfler is the greatest guitar player since Eric Clapton. His band was called Dire Straits. They had many hits. "Money for Nothing" was very big. "I want my MTV" and Sting sang back-up. Guess they are kinda old and grey now. But still good to listen to.

Shady Lane
07-23-2007, 09:02 AM
Sweet.

I like quiet music, meself.

Magdalen
07-23-2007, 09:06 AM
Oh he does that too! Piano forte. A very sweet little ditty, excellent lyrics "Romeo and Juliet"' "Brothers in Arms" lots of good stuff.

Danger Jane
07-23-2007, 09:18 AM
the party just got a little more dangerous.

Or shall we say...badass?

I'm bringing Grace Slick and Jefferson Airplane. DAMN I forgot to put the vintage buttons in my puma fidel castro hat!!!

I bought the hat in Italy :D

Shady Lane
07-23-2007, 09:53 AM
All right, if we're supplying music, I'm dragging in the Once soundtrack (which is basically asskicking in musical form) and some Motion City Soundtrack. Which is not a soundtrack.

Susie
07-23-2007, 10:22 AM
Hey, gang, so glad you're all havin' fun and enjoying yourselves. Carry on. :D

Shady Lane
07-23-2007, 10:29 AM
I'm still awake, by the way. It takes more than 2:28 to take out Shady Lane.

ETA: 2:48'll do it. Night, guys.

Well, I'm up late and editing around my manuscript until I'm cross-eyed. Also sent out 200 press kits in the past four days, all individualized for each newspaper and editor. Damn near killed me.
