View Full Version : a small victory

So I'm smack-dab in the middle of writing book three of a planned five books which, mathematically, makes the chapter I'm working on pretty pivotal, right? I had written the whole chapter at 5k words a few weeks ago and even as I was writing it, I knew it stunk on ice. I'd been struggling to re-write it from scratch, but isn't it always easier to just check out AW real quick and see what's hopping?

So I finally abstained from AW for five days and cranked out the chapter the way it should have been written in the first place. Now I have a first draft of a pivotal chapter with which I'm immensely satisfied.

So what did I miss around here?

Well, perhaps most exciting of all: Kirstie911 used the phrase oily anal discharge twice in one thread!

I didn't sell a short story or get an agent for my novel. Oh wait, that's not new. Same old, same old, I guess, around here.

Well done on hammering out that chapter. Keep it up!

Great--and sometimes self denial (of AW!) helps.
