A Thousand Voices
One thread per writer, comment free. Read others' writing and respond in your own personal way, to further inspire others to write, write, write.
Would anyone else be interested in such a forum? Assume it is password-protected, of course.
If you have a copy of 3 A.M. Epiphany (I can't find my copy), there's a group exercise described that goes something like this: lots of writers in the room, 10 minute bursts of writing, round-robin of readings, another burst of writing, more readings, repeat and repeat. The author says the writers are invariably pleased with how stimulating it is.
So, what if a new forum is structured in such a way as to mimic this exercise? The no-comment aspect is critical to the process; instead of responding with comments, one may only respond creatively.
A reference might be made on occasion to the source of inspiration, but would not be expected. If one must comment on another post, the comment goes in the commenter's own thread.
The idea is very much like the poetry chapbook forum, but more restricted.
