Snapped out our kitchen window a few mins ago. I haven't seen my Taranaki for a few days, and when I last did there was not a shred of snow. About the ony thing to be said for winter is waking up to this...

Wow...

Even though it's snow, it's still pretty. As long as it stays way up on the mountain where I don't have to drive in it or shovel it, though...

BTW, totally useless bit of trivia. If you ever saw the movie The Last Samurai, it is not Fujiyama nor Japan that you see... it was shot here. It was quite an event for the yokels.

You're renting out rooms, right? Because I'm packing.

How lovely. I've always wanted to move to New Zealand.

Wow.

*Looks out of own window to see old caravan and some trees.*

You win.

It took me a moment to remember it's Winter in New Zealand (A C. J. Sansom sequal perhaps?)

On a similar note of trivia: the Bond film Live and Let Die, supposedly set on the Carribean island of Haiti, was actually filmed in Dorset, England. This would all have been fine but someone forgot to check on plantlife. There are several plants in the background which grow in England but definately not on Haiti.

Out that window is a slab of highway. Out that window is a gravel road. Out that one is a ... Oh wait. I forgot. No windows.

And yes, I am doing this while I'm at work. :)

Okay, that is an impressive sight. :D

But... but... you said the S-WORD. And the W-WORD.

*turns on space heater, wraps up in five blankets*

Ugh.

That is a considerably lovely view from your kitchen window, Akiwiguy. I think I may be experiencing what some call "jealousy." :D

May I ask where you purchased your kitchen window? I think I want one just like it.
