I'm doing an article on secret & dead languages for RPG stuff. Right now, I'm just fishing for terms & concepts I can use. I have it outlined, and largely developed, but I want to add more content. Can anyone recommend any good sites and/or books?
I'm a bit of an amateur polyglot, and I read Mario Pei's The Story of Language for fun when I was a teenager. That's about it for my language experience, though.
The original focus of the article was on codes & ciphers, but it sort of drifted as I wrote.
