Happy Birthday Dunc.
***Grabs him by the tie and pulls him outside to the patio. The grill is going***
Yes, I know you'd like a nice peach pie, but I bought all this meat...so you're going to have to eat this.
You see, I had all this boneless-skinless chicken breast, so I cut it up and marinaded it in 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1tsp Turmeric, 1 tbsp crushed garlic, 1/2 cup onion, 1 crushed green chile pepper,1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp sea salt, 1 tsp black pepper, 1 tsp dill weed, 1tbsp Sumac (the middle eastern spice...not the weed) 1/4 cup olive oil and 1/2 cup water.
I marinated this for 8 hours, dude!
As the marinade time was ending, I took a container of plain yogurt and put it in my blender with 2 tsp lemon juice, 1 tsp olice oil, 2 jalapenos, a tsp of dried basil, a tsp dried oregano, a tsp dill weed, and a pinch of that Sumac. Then I pureed it and put it in the fridge.
So, as you can see, the chicken has been put on skewers and grilled to perfection.
And, you notice, there is a nice cucumber and tomato salad.
And I have this wonderful fresh Middle Eastern flat bread.
So, I de-skewer your chicken onto your bread. I sprinkle this nice fresh Feta on it, cover it with a few tablespoons of the yogurt sauce, roll it up, and serve it to you with the salad and a glass of ice cold sparkling raspberry seltzer water.
I'll make you the peach pie next year.
