O.K. so it's obvious that my dearest years were spent during the 60's. But I just found a book on the songs and ballads of the American revolution published in 1855 and hey - we had the knack (ability not the band) then too! We really tore into the British with satire fit for George Carlin. So please song writers- help motivate some good natured dissent- write some protest songs. I know, I would hope that this would break the silence of the Dylans and the Mitchells and , well you get the picture. If you want I will toss in a few lines from the first war to free this country.
