Life is interesting, sometimes...in reading this statement above, I'm reminded of last Thanksgiving, when our nephew returned home safely from a 1-year tour in Iraq, only to die in a motorcycle accident the Saturday after.

One never knows what sort of ironies lay in life.

I'm always heartened by messages about our young men and women coming home safe and sound from Iraq, since my son leaves for his first deployment this summer. Have fun and thank your son for his service for me.

Have a wonderful time with your son, Fingers. You must be so happy to have him home.

Please tell him thank you. And come back again safe and sound.

You know how I feel Fingers so I am just going to say, thank heavens he is home safely and I hope you have a blast. *hugs*

As an Air Force wife of 19 years, and an Army Ranger mom...and the one who waited, and paced as all three important guys in my life were sent downrange--I am profoundly happy for you. That first hug you give your son will be like nothing you've ever experienced.
Enjoy your time together. This family sends you the very best!!

*Phew* I'm so glad to hear he is back safe and sound. Have a safe and fun time together

Hug him and thank him from our family to yours! My adopted son and next-door neighbor leaves in January for Iraq. Seems like he just got home from Afghanistan yesterday.

Have a great time camping, and tell your son Thank You from me and mine.
