I just turned in my chair, keeping my left leg still. Something cracked. I don't know if it was my knee or hip or a very quiet sonic boom.

Is this what happens the closer you get to 30?

I've been 31 for nearly a fortnight now and I still have the full complement of limbs, so...sorry, looks like it's just you, falling to bits.

Okay, folks, let's pool our resources and buy the man a walker and a hip replacement. :D

Was it the bag of chips you'd stuffed behind you?

How's the chair?

The chair's pretty horrible to be honest. It has a load of crumbs stuck in the groove at the back and it smells.

I may have to purchase a less smelly, less crumb-ridden one.

You're too kind. And while you're at, I'll a pint and a pack of crips. Ta.
Your choice on the pack of crips:

Yep, that sounds about right.

Don't think the things that happen to 'old people' wait to happen until you're in your 60's or 70's. I had partially gray hair in my 20's, arthritis in most of my joints in my late teens, and everything pops and cracks now that I'm in my mid-30's.

It's just part of being human. Don't sweat it too much.

Your leg fell off and you're not sure?! Do you have any pets? Do they suddenly have any new toys you know you didn't buy for them? Do you live with somebody? Are they talking about that fabulous roast they're making for Sunday lunch? Are you leaning in an odd direction?
