Made a mistake, don't ask how, and queried a lit agency in the UK for a crime story. Got a positive response ... they want to see more. Before I send them the farm or parts thereof, I'd like to check them out. However I have been unable to locate something like Preditors & Editors that cover agents over there. Does anyone know where I might look?
Thanks

Try posting the name of the agency in the Writer Beware section on this message board (though do look at the index first).

Check the Association of Authors' Agents (http://www.agentsassoc.co.uk/index.php/Welcome). If the agency is a member, then there is a Code of Practice they must adhere to.

It is not a requirement for agencies to join, so your agent might still be OK even if they are not a member. But if they are a member you know they are legit.

What is the name of the agency?
