Dear Editor, please find enclosed
some lovely verses I composed.
I hope they're satisfactory
so you won't send them back to me!

Dear Editor, I send to you
A story that I hope you'll view.
The characters are funny folks —
They tell some bad off-colour jokes.
The plot is straight and rather thin,
But in the end, the good guys win.
I hope you'll read it all today,
And send a large-ish cheque my way!

Dear Editor - Enclosed, you'll find,
a story of the fiction kind.

It's got a hero bold and strong,
and elfin folks who do things wrong.
A lovely damsel in distress,
who ends up in a wedding dress.

It's not a normal fairy tale.
So read it all - without fail.
This book you'll find is quite a gift...
Please send your check to -- Tammy Swift.:lol

here goes

The tenderest touch of your velvety fingers
Sank down to my soul, where it lives and it lingers

That touch has kept me through the darkest of days
since that ship sailed from port, and we parted our ways

I carry that touch like the sweetest dear friend
Until that sweet moment I see you, and give it back to you again.

With love, your dearest soldier.

Submission Poem

Herewith now I send to you

A poem upon a kangaroo.

I know this subject might well seem

A strange and useless kind of theme;

But if you read I trust you'll find

This poem will steal into your mind.

Yet if you think, upon the whole,

My verse adverse to your soul,

Then kindly take my SAE

And send the pages back to me.

Okay I am game.

 I would just like to ask.
And hope that it is not too much of a task.
For me to ask that you heed.
And find the time to read.
What I have worked so hard.
To establish myself as a bard.
You may find it a card.
To at least not become hysteric.
To send a rejection that is generic.
So I enclose for you use.
A SASE if you do not like my muse.

Hmm I may copyright this by Judy T. Lloyd The Country Cousin.
