Hi,

I'm writing an article for iparenting.com about how parents and siblings can help a child living with a juvenile diabetes diagnosis. I've already talked to a diabetes educator, who also has Type I diabetes, and now I need to interview a parent who lives with it on a daily basis. How does it affect the family's schedule? What are the dietary needs/limitations for the child? How can parents and siblings assist the child in the day-to-day routine of glucose testing and carb counting? Please e-mail me at Renee@FinishedPages.com if you would like to be interviewed.

Thanks!

Can I recommend sixuntilme.com?

This is a blog my a girl with diabetes, and it was immensely helpful when I was writing about a diabetic. The girl who writes it, Kerri, is SO nice (she's a novelist, too--she even edited my manuscript for me!) and there are lots of links on her site to bloggers who have kids with diabetes who would probably be very happy to speak with you.

Hope this helps!
