Has anyone seen both versions of The Hitcher?

The 1986 version stars C. Thomas Howell, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Rutger Hauer

The latest one stars two unknowns and Sean Bean.

My question is--who's seen both versions? Which one do you think is better?

Personally I think the original is better so far--but we'll see...I'm watching the re-make right now.

I haven't seen the original in awhile, but I really liked the remake. I'm tossing around my thoughts for a review. Maybe I'll get a sale out of it online, we'll see. Right now I'm watching Patriot Games, another Sean Bean villian role.

I think this one (the remake) was a little bit better---a different story in the sense of, well for those who haven't seen it I won't give it away... I LOVED the ending though :) WHOA!! :)
