Are romance and ero the same? I didn't think they were but this is the closet thing I could find to a 'Writing Romance' kind of board. I don't write full-blown romance, I just needed to find some tips on romance, not describe my characters going at it. Good Lord, no! *flushes*
Set me in the proper direction, as I feel like a dork right now. ;)

Thanks and Peace.

Basically you can have romance with no porn, porn without romance and stroies that are both to varying degrees. But the easiest way to answer this is to read the genre before you write it. Not knowing the basics suggests you might have a problem meeting the very specific requirements of the major romance publishers.

Akuma,

Try starting at the Harlequin website. They have guidelines online, and I think they have a writing workshop as well.

Re: thanks

The harlequin website is a great resource, although getting something actually accepted by them is another thing entirely (mumble mumble, gnashing of teeth).

Re: thanks

coming in extremely late on this...but since I'm new I can be forgiven right? :grin

Go to www.rwanational.org if you want to learn anything about the romance market. I believe you can access the boards without having to be a member.

I don't write erotica, but my loves scenes are pretty hot! :sun 8)
