A Pathetic Writer

How come "for it to go away" is not an option?

Jenna's said that this here is a family-friendly place. There's no place for stroke fiction in that setting.

Have to wonder - if Jenna did not want this board, then Why In Heaven's Name did she set it up and recently name Veinglory as Moderator?

If you don't like the subject matter, well then, why are you here?

I will leave Jenna to answer your query in a more appropriate place and manner.

A Pathetic Writer

(not trying to ruffle TOO many feathers... but it's a legitimate question, especially from one who doesn't view this as a legitimate writing form).

veingloree

It's a legitimate question to be directed to Jenna or as a general discussion topic. This thread is for people who want to use the the forum to say how they wish to use it. Your comment is not of that sort. Please direct any further comments of this sort to the administrators. As you do not consider erotica a legitimate writng form I respectfully ask you not to post in this forum any further, in this thread or other threads.

Then why are you here?

I have absolutely zero interest in greeting-cards and non-fiction. Somehow, I restrain from going to those forums and butting into their conversations and generally making a nuisance of myself.

Novel concept, huh?

As for the poll, I choose all of the above.

Re: Then why are you here?

Aww, come on, pathetic. You saunter in, say you want this forum to 'go away'; say you don't consider it a 'legitimate writing form' (despite the fact it's one which has been around since writing first began) and then go in the huff when vein suggests - very politely, I might add - that you might be happier elsewhere?

Er...what else did you expect? A big kiss and a bunch of flowers?

Re: Then why are you here?

good heavens, APW--what should writing be about, if not prime human motivators like sex and death and the need for coffee?

Erotica has been around pretty much since people could articulate thought into pictures on cave walls...

Vein--I checked "other" because of almost precisely the issue raised by APW--erotica covers a wide area of writing from romance to pornography...almost any sexual content is going to make someone uncomfortable, though.

Writing sex can be tricky, and tough to pull off--at least very skillfully (or perhaps that's just me :ack )

I'm grateful for the existence of a forum where the issue can be discussed frankly and openly with other writers who deal with the same issues.

Re: Then why are you here?

Quite true. infact these days there is explicit sexual content in a lot of mainstream work. I am currently deciding how far to go in my fantasy book. Frankly some mainstream all-ages fantasy books are pretty raunchy these days.
