After suffering irreversible brain damage following a fall some weeks ago.

From the New York Times.

One of a kind.

Unfortunate way to go. But, his works live on. Slaughterhouse Five is a book I enjoyed immensely in my youth, and have long remembered. May he RIP.

My absolute favorite writer. Damn, I loved that man. I read The Siren's of Titan once a year and just yesterday started reading it to my son. I think I'm going to go cry now...

A friend sent me five of his books recently and I can't believe it took me 30 years to discover him.

He was of 'the mud who sat up and looked around' :) and now he will have the Peace of Bokonon.

A wonderful writer and spirit, and he had some tough knocks in his life. But a life well-lived ... sad to have him pass beyond.
