Personalized rejection!

Wow whee me! After sending several submissions over the past year to Highlights and other kids mags, and getting nothing but form rejections, I got a rejection from Highlights yesterday with the hand-written note on the bottom "Please try us again!"

I was ecstatic....a rejection has never made me so happy before!

Glad to hear it. Next time you'll get an acceptance! I'm working on a story for highlites also, but I'll be shocked if they buy it. . .

Anyway, congrats. On to the next big thing.

Hey, that's really good! A "please try us again" is even better than some of the other personalized responses. In fact, short of an acceptance, it's pretty much the nicest thing you can hear!

Keep up the good work, and here's hoping the next thing you're told is "YES!"
