My YA paranormal is finished. I can't believe it. I wrote over 60,000 words in a month and four days. That's pretty good for me.

I can't believe I've actually finished it. When I typed The End, tears came to my eyes. I quit writing three years ago, while I was experiencing postpartum depression. I didn't think I would ever write fiction again. I started back last summer after I was treated for the PPD. I was never able to finish anything except for short stories. I'd start a novel and then leave it. I honestly thought I'd never be able to write anything long again.

Then, I got the idea for this story. I wrote out a rough outline and then went to work. I haven't gotten stuck and just wrote right on through any hard stuff. Yippee!!!! It's finished.

Thanks everyone. I'm really dreading the editing. I started reading it tonight, just to catch typos. The first part needs a lot of work but as I get farther into in the story, I can see it getting better.

Wow, what an inspiring story! I am so proud of you, Southern Girl. Now, go out there and have a party! :partyguy: ... Put the book away for a little while, and then begin editing. And best of luck when you start submitting, too!
