Hello.

Bit new here still. I'm puzzled by some of the TLAs (Three Letter Abbreviations) that are used.

Is there a glossary somewhere?

Particularly: WIP (I'm guessing it meand work in progress. Could someone set me straight?)

WIP does in fact mean Work In Progress. You can find other terms and acronyms in Cathy Clamp's FAQ: Cathy C's Glossary of Publishing Terms, Abbreviations and Acronyms (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=59010).

I didn't include WIP or ms. in this because I figured they were more writing terms than publishing terms. My goal is to eventually do a second glossary of writing terms, from POV (point of view) to passive voice, alpha hero, etc. Unfortunately, I didn't get moving on it as quickly as I'd hoped.

But I could certainly include a few of those acronyms in this glossary until I find time to write up the other one. Thanks for the suggestion! :)
