...er... Allow me to clear that mud off your monitor screen... What I meant to say, was: Is it just me, or does everybody think of Stephen King while they are in the shower? (The other way around is a gross invasion of Mr. King's privacy... not to mention, very, very questionable etiquette, and potentially disturbing-- on so many levels).
I suppose what I'm asking is: Does anyone else have common everyday moments that “spark” the same thought over and over?
Example: Inevitably, when I shower, Stephen King pops into my head. Yes-- It is strange (I really didn't need you to tell me that...), and sometimes a little disturbing. I first noticed the phenomenon of “memory triggers” after my father's funeral. I was fine with flowers before, no issues. But after the funeral-- if I saw carnations-- if I sniffed a rose-- my father's death “whopped me upside the head” all over again (I was 16 at the time). Still to this day, if I catch the scent of roses it “bums me out” (if I'm smelling “invisible” roses, and can't see an air freshener-- I tend to freak a little), and when you die, don't expect ME to send carnations to the funeral home. Won't do it. Hate the damned things.
So, I'll leave the question at that. Simple. Do you think of Stephen King soaping up in the shower?
Redd-- who takes a lot of showers with SK.
