It's time to pass the torch.

The first AW Poet Laureate, William Haskins, has completed his term, and with the distinction always associated with his poetry.

Now, it is with great pleasure that I announce the second AW Poet Laureate:

Please congratulate

Stew21

on her ascendancy to the role (http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=60333). She will be our Poet Laureate through the end of May.

Thank you, William. Congratulations, Trish.

The king is dead! Long live the queen!

Actually, thank you William. I gained an even deeper appreciation for your work and loved the twenty questions.

Congratulations Trish. I'm excited to see what you have in store for us.

Write well.

Yay!

Now maybe she'll get off her duff (and give us a very nice view of it as she pirouettes) and write some like, poems and stuff.

maybe...or maybe I will just divert the attention to other fantastic poets at AW by putting them in my sigline as selected reading each day. And those folks who say, they don't know where to start in reading at the poetry forum will have something specific to see and hopefully comment on. :)

I'll have to write something new for that to happen. I'll be working on it.

Congrats Trish. Does this mean you won't recruit me unless I rhyme? Welcome back William to the land of oz.
