Which of these, if any, would make you pick up the book and read the blurb? Pick a favorite and give me a reason why :)

This is for a romance, just an FYI

Thanks!!

Hmm...It would make me think of Fatal Attraction.

I'd go with Deadly. It has much the same meaning, after all.

I'd favor Deadly Seduction or Fatal Seduction. I'd vote for Fatal Seduction if it didn't remind me of Fatal Attraction; so I guess Deadly Seduction is my top choice.

Want some more choices?

All 3 tell you immediately what you're getting - the problem is they are all fairly common titles - if you google any of them you end of with a lot of hits.
Maybe you should play with it a bit more - even pun it a bit?
(eg: Loving me Deadly; Kill me with Kisses)

Just a thought.

In the toidy.
Honestly, they all sound a bit "movie of the week" to me. Have you tried playing around, like Sharra suggests? Is this a Romance, or Thriller ... what genre is it?

It's a romance with a bit of intrigue mixed in.

I was afraid that they did sound a bit too commercial *sigh* I've been playing around with the thesaurus and those are the only combos that sound good.

I think I'll skip the fatal, as I really don't want it to sound too close to Fatal Attraction, as they are completely on opposite sides of the genre spectrum.

I'll happily take any other suggestions you guys have :)

Is it a contemporary romance or set in a particular time period? Where is it set? In a city, the burbs, the coast, the mountains? I'm having trouble with the name for my current WIP, too; but sometimes, they just suddenly come. Maybe yours will, too.

I hope so!!

It's historical. Set in about 1800 taking the chars from Northern England, to the ballrooms to London, to the high seas.

Do you have a blurb? I love brainstorming titles.

Not an official blurb...but here's a brief synopsis

Julianna is a brothel girl who was taken hostage by one of her long time lovers, a noble, Garrick, who has just escaped from the gallows after being wrongly accused of murder. Julianna's father is the one that he is accused of murdering. Julianna witnessed the murder and knows for a fact, that Garrick didn't do it; his brother did. The problem is, Julianna can't tell because the brother has threatened to kill her and Garrick both if she does. Since she witnessed him kill (and she was 12 and impressionable) she believes him so she's terrified to tell the truth at this point. So they are on an escapade together to clear his name, Garrick completely unaware that his brother, who is "helping" them, is the man who committed the crime. I might also add that Garrick has no idea who Julianna *really* is. He isn't aware that she's the daughter of man he was accused of killing.

That doesn't really do the whole story justice, but other than just posting the whole thing, it's hard to get the little stuff in :)

Yeah . . . but you'll probably have an editor who says, "Anna Nicole is a hot name right now . . . let's call it The Love and Death of Anna Nicole!"
