Yesterday I signed the contract for publication of my historical novel. Now all I've got to do is find an agent to represent my other two non-historic novels. Puma

Excellent! (Although I have to admit that my first thought on seeing the thread title was, "Great, now someone else is wanting me to use my stomach muscles. Contract! Contract! Hold it for 5 seconds!")

Seriously, that's wonderful! Happy dancing, all around!

 Congratulations!!! I'm sorry if I'm missed a thread somewhere, but what was the history? And how did you tear yourself away from the research (I LUV research) long enough to write it?

Thank you everyone for your congratulatory notes. A couple of you have asked what my novel is about. It is the actual story, pieced together from many historic records, of the settlement of a very small portion of land (1/4 of a township) in the US Military District in central Ohio. The time period is 1800 through the War of 1812 (early 1815). And yes, it did take a lot of research. Puma
