View Full Version : Welcome your new Mod!!!

She's a long time AW member, and her value around here goes without saying. She volunteered to take this roomful of troublemakers, and I only had to use the shock collar a little!

We figured it was about time to have a regular mod in here for you folks, too, since this has turned into a really busy room. So put your hands together for Birol!

This is our compromise. She was going on and on about writing her thesis while working the standard 16 hour Supermod shift, and threatening to run away from home . . . I couldn't let that happen, of course, so I bribed her with a room that I know she's got a special soft place in her head heart for, anyway.

Welcome, Lori! :PartySmilNow finish the damned thesis so I can put you back on supermodding!

Ha! I can't believe you fell for it!

I just don't know why you had to use a rusty knife to scrape off the "super" part of the mod tattoo.

Now finish the damned thesis so I can put you back on supermodding!

Hey! At least I have a topic [that I'm not going to change my mind about] now.

So you remember the next time you try to leave on sabbatical. It's like the mob . . . once you're family, you're family.

Forever . . . and ever . . . and ever.

We all float down here. . .

What forum are we in Mac?

Cath
03-16-2007, 04:48 PM
Well, this is either Birol's way of creating a staging post for her coup, or Mac's way of suppressing it...

Either way - good luck, Lori! :)

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. It really makes me feel loved. Mac's right. I do have a soft spot for this forum.

Congratulations!

We'll be nice.

(ha ha ha)

Uh huh. *makes note next to Alleycat's name*

Beer-all, eh? Has a nice ring to it.

It's odd. I don't really care how Birol is pronounced. It's just Lori B backwards, of course, but I always mentally pronounce it Bi-erl or something like that.

Oh man...been there, Lori! ((hugs)) Good luck on that...took me two years to finish my thesis. Good times...

Did you give her a new shock collar? The old one is getting shabby and some of the rhinestones are missing.

Shh... I've heard the latch is hidden under one of the rhinestones.

Trouble?

Welcome, Birol. You mod most of the forums I hang in anyway. I likes ya! :D

Thank you. *makes another note*

hey, welcome!

we won't be much trouble... most of the time ;)

You know, I do hope there's some trouble in here every once in awhile. Mac promised me there would be. I get in trouble myself if I'm bored.

Welcome Lori.
What forum are we in Mac?

Excellent question! *quickly checks the header* That would the The Roundtable.

Greetings, Lori! I promise I'll behave, most of the time. :D

Again, too much behaving, I'll get bored and start causing trouble myself.

Birol. Birol. I know I've heard that name somewhere.

I see I've been had; this was supposed to be an active-but-easy room. I knew Mac was a bit too quick to offer it to me.

Well, she knows what happens if I get bored.

So, what are we going to spray paint on the AW overpass? Do I have to use my butt cheeks?

Hmpf.

Like as a pattern or something? We each paint our buttcheeks and press them onto the cement?

You've got such great ideas!!!!

Do you see the timestamp on this thread? It was created about three minutes after I agreed to the course of action. The conversation went something like:

MAC: Lori, are you awake.

LORI: Is it morning? My tea's not made yet.

MAC: Ooohh. Well, while you're waiting, how'd you like to mod the Roundtable forum?

LORI: *distracted and groggy* Roundtable? Yeah. Roundtable's a nice forum.

MAC: Great! I'll go make the necessary changes.

Carrie in PA
03-17-2007, 11:31 PM
Well that explains this PM that Pete & I got at 7:04 AM:

"Hey guys, we're working on turning Roundtable into a smaller, cozier TIO. Would you two mind kicking it up a notch in there? Thanks! Mac"

Congrats, Lori. Derek tells me the pay is unreal, the insurance program unbelieveable, and you get two weeks paid leave once a year.

All that, and all you have to do is monitor a decidedly docile group of free thinking, fire starting, waste bin peeing lambs.

Lucky you! :D
