Party People

Go to a bar almost any night.
You'll see them sitting there,
Sipping their drinks 'til someone buys,
Then, drinking like they got no care.

When, last call comes.....there's always someone
Who wants to keep things going on.
They're quick to cash in on someone's stash,
And they're flying high, just around dawn.

Hey.....They're the party people,
Got nothing but time to spend.
If there's a good time going.....They'll find it.
The party never ends.

Some get there money from momma,
Some get it, selling on the side.
Some even have to work a nine to five
With a change of scene from time to time.

All the men are macho.
All the women.....so cool.
All the times are good good times,
That's their only rule.

Hey.....They're the party people,
Got nothing but time to spend.
If there's a good time going.....They'll find it.
The party never ends.

Most of their talk's superficial.
There's emptiness in their smiles.
None of them seem very happy,
Though they laugh and they joke most the while.

They're constantly looking for action,
Even those with somebody at home,
And no ring on their finger will cause them to linger,
If they see a chance to have a little fun.

Hey.....They're the party people,
Got nothing but time to spend.
If there's a good time going.....They'll find it.
The party never ends.

The party never ends.
