March 500 words/day thread--all genres welcome

I'm so glad you started these threads, because it's made a huge difference for me. Thank you, and hope to see you soon!

Got lots of good progress on the revising last night. Curse these characters, they keep pointing out stuff I need to tear down and rebuild...but it's good because now for future novels I (hopefully) won't have to make dozens of revision passes to get it right. Hopefully I'm learning something about story construction from the start.

Here's to writing, in whatever form, every day. *clink*

256 words -- Preliminary Application for Financial Assistance by Mother Hubbard's dog. Plus a bunch of IM brainstorming & bringing my little brother in on the game.

We're having entirely too much fun with this!

Along with my 30 articles, but still... I was hoping to get ON TRACK on the first day of March.

And I haven't been repped in DAYS!!! *goes off to cry*

Half the time was spent checking references for necessary info which plays a part in the story.

I have started a new novel, a sort of mystery-suspense-erotic horror piece. Lots of eccentric and downright weird people. I like weird characters!

Revisions going great. Crossed the halfway point of the ms today, going forward in one direction (which was welcome considering I've been going back and forth til now) and with the new clarifications, there are some scenes I can't wait to get to.

I had hoped this would be my last pass through it, but it's going to need at least one more. That's okay though, I still have time.

Between my last post and this one, I cranked out 715 words on my WIP. You guys are an amazing inspiration.

And 320 more. Hey, actually made a goal with this nursery-crime stuff!

693 on the newly-fledged WIP. My heroine has met a not-so-long-lost relative, who couldn't care less about her.

No extra words, but put together (hopefully) the last pre-game piece for the murder mystery (newspaper with pertinent articles/letters). Probably more tweaking needed, but dunno what exactly.

700 and something on my WIP. I forget how many I'm being a good girl!

729 on WIP today (murder mystery is waiting for response from co-conspirators)

1000 new words today. And I've heard back from almost all beta readers and its great responses. Yee Haw. And the Mavs keep winning.

Oh yeah....and I quit my second job (effective Easter). That's a biiiiiiig Yee Haw!

Finished! With the penultimate revision pass! I'm going to force myself to let the ms sit for at least a day before I make another pass. In the meantime I have neglected short stories to work on. Again, revising, but it's revising of different material.

And 599 on the Flash Fiction challenge -- short for me. I'm counting it (I usually don't) because it will fit nicely into my WIP!

Weekend report: 560 words on Friday and 520 words on Saturday. Sunday was spent doing a little research and revising another project.

198 words before I gave up last night... I wasn't feeling good yesterday.

I pruned about 500 words today, and I'm still sitting just about 100K.

Oh, and I wrote my query, blech!
