The funniest animals

I can only go by animals I have known personally. First of those would be a goat we called Kecske. (Catch keh) Kecske is the Hungarian word for goat, and my Hungarian grandmother named him that. He thought he was a dog, since he kept company with my dogs, and did a lot of hilarious and outrageous things. After the goat, I will say cats. Dogs, of course, can be funny as well, but cats are funnier!

Hmmm, must disagree.

1. Oh sure, the platypus goes here, no question.
2. Gotta go with Aardvark for #2, though.
3. Chihuahuas, paws down.
4. I'll give you the kangaroo here, also.
5. Must go with the yak, sorry, yak must be in the top 5.

BTW, cats are DIGNIFIED, not "funny". Get that straight. There are a lot of us here, and we work together when we need to or it suits us. It'll suit us if you call us "funny" again.

Wombats

I think wombats are very funny. I like the way that they waddle when they walk. I have always felt an affinity toward the wombat.

I would be willing to put wombats at #4 and just remove kangaroos from the list.

But the yak must be in the top 5.

My budgie Freddie is the funniest - ever have bird order you to "leave that alone!" when you start to take a toy out to wash it? Yes, in so many words.

And yes, she's a little diva. She throws screaming, flapping tantrums when she doesn't get her way...

Llama's just aren't funnier than yaks.

But I could put Llama's at #6.

It should be a top ten because meerkats are funny. And Wildebeasts are funny. I will admit caribou aren't funny.

Funny is so much related to intelligence. Hands down, we are the funniest animals.

Look up, at my first post in this thread. Aardvark is there, as #2 funniest.

I'll give you, sloth should enter the Top 10.

But, can it really beat a Chihuahua in pink pleather?

If you read Mark Twain you will find in Innocents Abroad a very funny passage of a llama eating a manuscript. .. . yeah, I think that a llama could qualify as funny, if they weren't so *gosh*darned mean.

Joining the nomination committee

I've got to add my votes for the aardvark and the sloth. Not only do they look funny, they have funny sounding names. By the way, I've been told that sloths move so slowly that moss grows on them. Kind of like a few of the threads I've started.
Also, I would like to nominate the brown pelican. Oh my gosh, have you ever seen one up close? I think the origional pelican spirit must have done something very offensive to God (perhaps while flying overhead) just before He gave it a face.

I like this guy. He needs to stay.

Ferrets are too darned CUTE to be "funny" in and of themselves

Ferrets are GREAT comics and comedians, but for a "just look at that thing" hilarity, you can't put a ferret up against an aardvark and hope the ferret will even stand a chance.

Conversely, you can't put an aardvark up against a ferret in the "which one would you rather cuddle and snuggle with" category and hope that anyone will even notice the aardvark is in the running.
