I've never broken a finger, but I love chicken fingers.

I don't know if that's anything.

Good luck with the rest of the thread.

I broke my wrist jumping off a bunkbed at sleepaway camp.

Maybe that's something?

(I had good insurance back then and my wrist is perfect now, Ray. :) )

I broke my left index finger playing basketball my sophmore year of high school. The break was right in the knuckle and they splinted it straight and I had to wear the splint for 3 weeks.

Lucky me...it was the same time I was starting drivers training. So picture me, fifteen years old and driving around with my finger sticking straight up off the steering wheel. I don't think any drivers training car has ever been flipped off so many times in history. It was horribly embarassing...though my instructor thought it was hilarious.

I didn't think it was funny then but I do find it quite amusing now. :)

And, speaking of Brokenfingers...I haven't seen him around in a while. Any idea where he's been hiding?

I broke my left hand skiing at Big Bear, California. I got one of those new skis but I didn't know they went faster than the normal ones. I fell forward and landed on my hand. I waited for 3 weeks to see a doctor, and it took about 6 months to heal.

Now, my hand feels strange whenever it rains.

Never broken a finger. Broke my wrist when I was a kid learning to ride a bike. And, in seventh grade, I broke my right arm, left leg, and front tooth on a field trip. (Without suing!)

And I sliced the tip of my left middle finger off when I worked as a sous chef. I was teaching a new employee how to cut vegetables without hurting himself. Then I showed him, don't do it like... *slice* ... and I was bleeding.

The worst part was: he said, "Ewwwww!" and knocked the tip of my finger off the cutting board. Under the stove. Never to be seen again.

It's still a little crooked.

Once, I tried to take the broccoli off of a drunk girl's plate. BIG mistake. I made a narrow escape that time.

Just today, I just my finger in the car door, the fridge door, the cupboard door, and I ironed it. It's burnt and a little bitchy, but not broken (if it is, too bad. I hate doctors)

I've almost cut my fingers off many, many times. I had to quit taking shop class because of it.

I broke my left arm just above the elbow when I was twelve. I jumped off a balcony into a pile of leaves that wasn't so soft. After what seemed like an eternity, I came home from having the cast removed. An hour or so later, I slipped and fell and broke the same arm again.

My favorite brokenfingers story was last April first, when all the mods were pretending to fight as an April Fools joke, and they all got banned, and nobody was left but Mac and Birol. Brokenfingers stole Jenna's avatar and made a thread called "new mods wanted." It was hilarious!

Nothing nice about breaking fingers. My left hand was badly damaged in a car crash (my gold bracelets sliced through flesh and broke the bones).

The knuckle on my 'wedding ring' finger is still larger than normal because of adhesions - and the car crash was in 2002.

The only cheerful thing to having a permanently bent little finger is I gather it means something to do with having money.

Shh!!! He's locked up in the nut house. He was last seen running down the street after his computer blew up.

I'm pretty sure someone on this board has some real Brokenfingers stories to tell, but I'll wait until she shows up and tells them herself.

Hahahaha! Yeah, we almost got away with our little “management change.” :D

Well, I sure wish I could hang here and play more often but man, I’ve been super, super busy.

Between the lawyers, depositions, work, jet lag and writing — man! It’s been crazy!

Hell, I’m on my way to the airport right now. Have to give a DNA sample for Anna Nichole’s baby…

P.S. Rob, I haven’t forgotten the bail money you sent me buddy. Should I send the check to the same address? Still residing at the Florida Old Fogey Home for Ex-Emperors?

By far, my favorite Brokenfinger's story is the one I published during my brief stint as a lit fiction editor. That man can write! And the sooner he makes it to the top of the best seller list, the sooner I'll get to brag that I was the first person to formally recognize his talent :D

I'm sorry that's my baby.

So.... where have you been? How have you been? Why were you gone so long?

And I thought Ray was talking about you. Then you show up out of nowhere?

Weird.

Got any new piercing or tattoos?

Not a broken finger, per se.

Microfracture, according to the doc.

I proposed to my girlfriend in front of friends and family at a restaurant by first playing the sequence from Raiders of the Lost Ark where Indy grabs the golden idol and makes a dash through the temple, across the pit, and gets chased by the boulder. At the point where he flies out of the tunnel, I came flying out from behind a partition dressed in full Indy gear: fedora, jacket, whip, pistol, etc.

The works.

I was also carrying a replica of the idol.

When I landed on the mat in front of her, the hand carrying the idol missed the mat and hit the floor of the restaurant.

CRUNCH!

It was only after I popped the question that someone pointed out my swollen finger.

The things we do for love... :D

By a serendipitous piece of good timing, Old Father Peaches just emailed me this photo of what he's done to himself, with knife.

Regardez!

I miss Brokenfingers. He wrote some good poetry.
