A few that I liked.

I liked the songs mentioned but one of the best was by Mick Jagger in House of The Rising Sun. I also liked The Dance by Garth Brooks so much that I wrote an entire novel on it. Then another one would be
Bye Bye Miss American Pie.
Drove a chevy to the levy.
But the levy was dry.
Saw the good ole boys.
Drinking whiskey and rye.
Saying this will be the day.

I hate to admit Robbie Williams, but this line from Feel goes through my head often:

The American David Wilcox (folk singer, as opposed to Canadian punk rocker David Wilcox) has a whole bunch of songs that really get to me.

I'll play...but please don't laugh at me! The song that had the greatest impact on my life is The Smith's Ask. I can't vouch for it having an impact on anybody but me.

I used to be painfully shy, and then one day I heard this song in college and it all made sense. Shyness could stop me from doing all the things in life I wanted to! At the time, it was a real revelation.

Another fun song from that era was (Hey There) Little Red Riding Hood. Maybe I'm just into guys who can howl. LOL!

Ya'll will probably run me off, but I like a lot of the songs by John Prine. He is a very good poet.

I don't know if any of this would be considered life changing, but I get into it.

For the longest time I had a theme song "Angel of the Morning" ... I have since healed and moved on. It no longer defines or owns me.

Now, I enjoy many songs that speak to my heart and touch my soul. Maybe one day I will join you tallented song writers, until then, I will sing along

As a young man with Aspergers' Syndrome (a high-functioning form of autism), I've always felt somewhat adrift. I can't pick up on people's jokes, I talk with adults more than I do with people my own age (I'm 22 years old), and I've always wondered why I seem to be the only person I know of with the beliefs that I hold.

Because of that, I relate to the song "Us And Them" by Pink Floyd. It really expresses the loneliness that I think we all feel at one point or another when we look at the world around us.
