Agent for Boomer-era memoir

SkipII

I am looking for an agent with good relationships with Riverhead, Hyperian or Warner Books, particularly Springboard Press. My book is a humor memorir of the muscle car era of the late '60s/early '70s with a Mitch Albom-type thread at the end.

Any help is appreciated.

Why don't you look at the listings at http://www.publishersmarketplace.com/

They have an extensive deals listing. See who sold some comparable works, and see what those houses are on record as buying. Once you've identified some agents, check them out to see if they take new clients. Not all agents do. Many of the more successful ones only take referrals from existing clients.

If you are serious about this, a subscription to that and Publishers Weekly would be worthwhile.
